A player is limited to displaying one (1) non-national flag on each ship.(The few flags that affect rewards are rare and generally unavailable.) Signals are functional where flags are cosmetic.These flags may be obtained from a variety of sources: from in-game events, to special flags available in certain ship bundles in the store, to contests or events on the regional forums. Ships from tech trees that cover multiple nations - such as Commonwealth, Pan-Asia or Europe - can choose to fly either the 'national' flag shown in the tech tree, or the ensign of the nation they actually represent.Д«eginning at Account Level 14 captains may elect to hoist a non-national flag alongside the ship's national flag. в†‘ The value in credits when sold from Inventory.Д®ach ship in the tech tree of a single nation flies the national flag or naval ensign of that nation.When Auto-Resupply is enabled, a check-box will appear below the Auto-Resupply option to enable purchase. If you do not Enable this option, the ship will have no signals mounted after it returns to port from battle.ДЄuto-Resupplied Economic signals can be purchased automatically (if there are none remaining to mount) for doubloons. The option to Enable / Disable this feature appears below the list of signals. In addition to manually mounting them, you can choose to Auto-Resupply your signals so that after battle, replacement signals are automatically mounted. Click on the desired signal, then press the 'Mount' button. This will display a list of available signals with quantities of each. In order to equip signals, click the 'Exterior' tab under the BATTLE! button in the top center of the port screen, then select 'SIGNALS' from the menu at left. Signals can be sold from Inventory for credits, though this is generally not worthwhile, especially for Economic and Special signals. Special Signals can be obtained only through containers, events, or missions, or occasionally in large premium ship bundles.(Check the rules for the particular Public Test.) Additional Public Test missions may give Special Signals. Playing one battle in a Public Test usually will grant 3 of every non-special signal.Campaigns, challenges, and combat missions often reward signals.Containers, especially Signals & Camouflage containers, hold signals.Some signals (currently Economic Signal bundles) may be purchased from the Premium Shop (depending on server).Economic Signals can be purchased at the time of mounting for in-game currency if Auto-Resupply is enabled.Combat Signals can be purchased in the Armory for Credits.Combat and Economic Signals can be purchased in the Armory for Coal.Reward: up to five ' 'More Signals' containers and two Gift containers. You must earn 5,000 Base XP in victorious battles. The second mission chain comprises five missions with the same condition.Reward: up to three 'More Signals' containers and one Gift container. You must earn 2,500 Base XP in victorious battles. The first mission chain comprises three missions with the same condition.The missions can be completed in Random, Ranked, and Co-op Battles, as well as in Operations and Brawls. Two weekly combat mission chains are available.

With Update 0.9.3 an unlimited number of economic and special signals (one each) can be mounted. A maximum of eight (8) combat signals can be flown simultaneously. In game, they confer combat or economic bonuses to the ship flying them. Signals are small flag-like pennants, displayed individually or as a set, that nominally are used to communicate to other ships.
